Mark your calendar! On Thursday, June 9 from 10am - 1pm, Southern Chrysler-Jeep Greenbrier will join the parents and teachers at Victory Elementary for a fundraiser in support of school projects. During Victory's Field Day, parents and guests will have an opportunity to earn a $10 contribution for the school from Chrysler by test driving the company's award winning, Town & Country. Everyone is invited to join the fun. Any licensed driver, age 18 or older, may drive and earn a $10 donation for Victory Elementary. There is no limited to the number of drives or Chrysler's contribution. Southern Chrysler-Jeep Greenbrier will provide the minivans and insurance for the event, and volunteers from the dealership will be on hand to help out with the fundraising test drives. Victory Elementary is located at 2828 Greenwood Drive in Portsmouth.
"We love working with the school and really enjoy the opportunity to support the kids and showcase our product," said Jimmy Moore, President of Southern Chrysler Jeep - Greenbrier. "Parents appreciate the chance to talk about the new automotive technology and try the innovations for themselves - in a relaxed environment. This year we are especially excited to show off the new, world class interior of the 2011 Town & Country along with more than 40 standard safety, security and technology features.
"Drive for the Kids Fundraisers are a lot of fun," continued Jimmy Moore. "Everyone works together to help the kids. We hope to see you at the school on June 9 from 10-1. Just look for the colorful Chrysler tent."
In 1993, Chrysler introduced "Drive For The Kids" and became the first automotive manufacturer to reach out in the direct support of local schools. Since then Chrysler dealers have worked with parents and educators in communities across the nation, and Chrysler has contributed an estimated $3.5 million to schools located in communities where Chrysler and its dealers do business.
